Uhaul again dropped the ball.  I booked a 6x12 trailer for a date in May for 8 am.  They called and said it was only available at noon.  Showed up at noon to see about 5 or 6 trailers just sitting there..  Get it set up, it shorts the lights out on my truck.  Now they cant rent it to me.  SO I screw around on a sunday trying to find a shop open to find and fix the problem (I didnt know it was a short fuse yet).

Incredibly luckily I find a guy to fix it, get it back for 4pm.  Get a trailer set up that does not short out the fuse set up by 4:30.  The debit set up does not accept my card or my girlfriends.  Called the bank it was not my end at all, it was uhauls.  Uhaul chages me a $60 deposit which they kept.  The total for renting this POS trailer is now $920.

Normally this would be the usual bs with uhaul but I was on my 7 days off work and had to pack a trailer, then drive from Ottawa Ontario, to Calgary, Alberta (4000 km drive), then unpack it all in 4 days to catch a flight in calgary to work (14 days on).

Plus I had help arranged to pack the trailer at like 2 pm which now was all screwed up and unavailable etc etc

The real kicker was when the trailer started swearving all over the road at 60km/hr.......

It was unsafe to drive, let alone across the country and this happened at like 9:30pm after dealing with their BS all day long.  I had to get to calgary in like 4 days.  So I had no time to actually deal with the problem.

I left the trailer in Ottawa and drove to Calgary the next AM and paid a guy $2000 to get it fixed or whatever and to Calgary.  Because I am at work up north in Ft McMurray, I was unable to help unload when it finaly got to Calgary I had to pay a guy $300 to unpack it.

So had it been on time, and working, I would have made it on time to Calgary, unpacked and had time to chill before going to work.  Ultimately uhaul cost me $2300+.

I will never ever ever in my lifetime use uhaul again and I urge you all to do the same.  This is not the first time they have screwed me, but this is the most severly.

The manager dodged calls for the better half of a week, and finnaly got back to me after I launched a uhaul investigation through their customer service phone (which no one answers 8 out of 10 times). He said forget it, I should have called the hot line and he is doing nothing.  Next days off I am calling a lawyer if I can't get him on the phone again.
