On 28 March, When I typed in a UK government website address to renew my Driving Licence, apparently this company must have 'popped-up' while I was keying it in.  I carried on, u aware they are not an official government website and completed all my details.  I was asked for £69.99 for this 'service' and as I had not done this before, I was unaware that it is a free servicer in the UK.

My Partner later informed me that I should not have paid at all, so I contacted my bank, Halifax, and asked them to cancel the payment which they refused to do.  This demand lay open in my account over the Easter break until it was allowed to leave my account.  I had called my bank every day since 28 March trying to prevent this happening.

Now I have been asked to raise a dispute which I have done so that the bank will look into with no guarantee I will ever have this money refunded!  I have sent an email to these people complaining about this demanding my money back and immediate deletion of my financial details from their records.  I do not feel very confident.

Today, I received a Registered Letter from this company enclosing a D1 form (Driving Licence Renewal form) dated 3 April.  This means they took the £69.99 from my account without having a completed form and without therefore having provided any service - not that I wanted or needed one.  Their notes stated that they were enclosing a stamped, addressed envelope and they did not enclose this. have no intention of sending them what they need in order to prove that I asked for a service from them and will hold on to this form and dated envelope as evidence of this.
