Make sure you check this company out thoroughly before accepting a position with them.  By all means if you are not happy with your present job...it cannot be worse than working for this company...You know what they say about if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is?? You will be promised the world!  Bonus, company car, $750.00 or more per week...only to find that your first check (which you will not receive for two weeks) is for minimum wage.

This is the most unproffessional company, poor management, the president of the company will not acknowlege any new recruits until they have been there for months.  The contests are bull_ _ _ _!  You will never win them and if you do, you will never see the prize.  They've got a good thing going but consider customers and employees expendable!  Asdk them what % of the people they employee, last 1 month....My advice - Do Not attend the Interview - you are wasting your time.

Just an observation UCF, you have zero class. You ripped off a company and then wrote nasty things about them. Really man ? I'm glad you have a job. Stay out of Starbucks unless you work there.

For starters, your grammar and spelling are almost as flawed as your logic.  Secondly, yes, I am currently gainfully employed; thank you for your concern.  Lastly, you offered nothing but a juvenile rant and accusations of libel (of which you are clearly unaware of the definition)- not once did you refute my statements about being lied to or having my pay withheld.  That speaks volumes.  I've seen your rebuttal posts all over this site as well.  It speaks volumes as well that someone as uneducated and juvenile as you is the best line of defense that this company has.

I want to respond to your multiple slanderous post plastered all over ROR in several locations. You know what they say about people who say "here's the truth" ? You stated ..."I worked for this company as well, for three weeks" .... but screwed the company out of two plus weeks pay while you  (here's that phrase again),.... "Truth be told, after about a week and change of giving this an honest effort,

I realized I had been lied to. I would show up for the 8 am pep rally/meeting and then go hang out at Starbucks with my laptop looking for another job".  What did you tell your employer when you lied to them about working? What did you tell your family while you sat in Starbucks and played on the internet? Let me guess "here's the truth". It makes me sick to think that people really want to work and you worked a few days and did nadda and screwed UBS out of weeks pay. Who is "the rip off"?

You stated ..."having been involved in professional sales for much of my career, I found myself looking for work after being laid off due to the economic downturn". Excuse me but professional salespeople are the last to be laid off because they produce revenue for the company, they keep it running. How much revenue did you bring to UBS or the last sales job? Were you an asset or a liability? Professional sales people make it happen, they don't start a career and then hide in Starbucks and play video games.

You stated ...." I was promised HOT leads, a turnkey program that couldn't lose, and $750 per week in training pay, plus car and cell phone allowances. What I got was leads that were between 3 and 5 years old (true story)".  So they promised that you were an order taker ? People just called in and said deliver the products? Why do they need salespeople if people were just flocking to the phones to call in orders? I don't believe it, no other reasonable person believes it and your attempt to defame UBS will end you up in court.

You stated .... "Finally, they attempted to withhold my last paycheck. They pay a week behind, so after I was terminated for not producing, I was still owed a week of pay. After trying to be nice, I had a friend who is an attorney draft a letter. I firmly believe that that was the only reason I got that check"  Are you for real ? you were terminated for not producing because you were screwing the company and your family while you sat in Starbucks.  Does the wife and family know or did you tell them  "truth be told"you got screwed because of the economic downturn.

Get out of Starbucks and go to work.  If you have a friend who is an attorney I think you may want to consult him on your Liablous statements that you have posted on the internet.

That "recant" post could be filed under comedy if it weren't a transparently pathetic attempt by a member of the company's management to save face. I'll say it again- there is a VERY good reason that reviews of this company's employment and business practices are as scathing as they are.

I worked for this company as well, for three weeks. Having been involved in professional sales for much of my career, I found myself looking for work after being laid off due to the economic downturn.

I was promised HOT leads, a turnkey program that couldn't lose, and $750 per week in training pay, plus car and cell phone allowances. What I got was leads that were between 3 and 5 years old (true story), a corporate culture and sales system based on deception and deliberately inflated statistics, and a pay structure that reverted to minimum wage if you didn't convince 3 businesses to take on the free* trial in your VERY FIRST week. No product training to speak of, no support (front or back end); here are your brochures, go sell. By the way, we're out of professional, color brochures. Take these black and white photocopies with you. Never mind the obscene numbers you'd have to post to get the car and cell money.

Finally, they attempted to withhold my last paycheck. They pay a week behind, so after I was terminated for not producing, I was still owed a week of pay. After trying to be nice, I had a friend who is an attorney draft a letter. I firmly believe that that wa the only reason I got that check.

Truth be told, after about a week and change of giving this an honest effort, I realized I had been lied to. I would show up for the 8 am pep rally/meeting and then go hang out at Starbucks with my laptop looking for another job. The only way I think they make money is by the sales managers poaching the warmest leads from people who give them an honest effort and succumb to the inevitable. They deserved neither from me.

On most of these forums, you have the occasional response and threat from a current employee. There's a VERY good reason that their posts are outnumbered as bad as they are.

I have been with this company for years. This is either a hoax or a failed attempt at slander. Bonuses are paid out regularly and the contradiction in your statements matches your spelling.  "You will never win a contest, but if you do"? Also, the President of the company drives to Orlando from the corporate office just to mingle with the employees but clearly this is not a condition for employees to do the required work. And finally, training pay is paid out based on just a few minimum work related requirements clearly defined in the offer letter and you are always paid a week behind, just like most other reputable businesses. UBS is not a too good to be true company. Hard work and dedication reaps good benefits just like anywhere else, period. Get a job and quit complaining.  I am forwarding to our legal department for review and action. We know !
