My husband ordered the ultimate chopper from an infomercial he saw on TV. He authorized $105.00 to be deducted from our visa (visa check card).

On 10/10/02 we realized that we had been charged 224.40. We called the company and were told that we had been charged for 3 ultimate choppers. We were also told that the woman that took the order had done this to several people and had been fired. We were also told that the items had already been shipped. If we wanted a refund we had to wait until we got them, then ship them back. We were told that they would sent shipping labels so that we would not have to pay additional postage.

On 10/26/02 I called the company again because we had not recieved the merchandise yet. We were told that it had been shipped on 10/22/02. I asked why they had not corrected the mistake back on 10/10 when I had called if the items had not been shipped yet. They did not know, nor did they seem to care! I talked to a supervisor at this point because the woman who was supposed to send me the shipping labels had neglected to do this also! I was not satisfied with the conversation so I asked for the corporate number.

On 10/28 I FINALLY got the package but at this point I don't want any of the Choppers. Still no shipping labels so I wait. On 10/30, I call the corporate office. No one answeres. On 10/31 I call again and get the voice mail of Kimberly Thom, it says leave message and I will return your call. No call returned. So now what? Is my only recourse to report them to the better buisness bureau? Isn't charging my card for an amount different from what I had authorized fraud? I want my money back NOW!!!

I am glad you posted your comments. Not only did I not purchase an Ultimate Chopper (too bad Sylmark - you almost got my money, chumps), but I bought a great model from someone else for roughly the same price as the ultimate chopper without all the hassles.
