Ultimate Mororsports Inc of Houston TX advertises all their cars on Ebay.  The cars with no issues get closed on Ebay but the ones that have enormous problems get what I would call the loophole treatment.  When you make an offer on Ebay, the seller calls you to close the deal.  In the Ebay ad, the seller states to call for more information which I did.

After the seller gave me the info I sought, tires still had 60% (lie more like 5%), front end was tight (lie, it needs over $3000 in repairs) I decided to make an offer thru Ebay.  The seller called me back and accepted my offer.  He emailed all paper work and I returned it with payment.

Upon checking the deal on Ebay I saw the seller removed the truck from the site.  He closed the deal outside of Ebay, essentially using the service as an advertisement to sell his crappy auto.

It turns out I am not the first person to get hosed by these jokers.  Countless BBB complaints against them, with a lot due to the buyer finding the auto on Ebay.

Beware, avoid Ultmate Motorsports Inc of Houston like the plague.  You will get ripped off.

They tout their 100% seller feedback and over 300 cars sold, nope, they don't have over 300 cars sold thru Ebay, they have buys such as cameras and the like to bump up their positive feedback and transaction count.

I've already contacted Ebay to get them removed, as well as certain govt agencies regarding wire fraud, false/misleading advertising, and possible tax violations.

I bought from Ultimate Motorsports after seeing an Audi A4 advertised on ebay. Like others I was impressed with their 100% feedback, like others Ultimate Motorsports did not complete the transaction through ebay, so it's not possible to leave negative feedback.

Essentially, you need to look at Ultimate Motorsports as if you were buying from a private party. Once you've handed over your money you are on your own. I went to look at the car and bought it against my better judgement; I regret this.

The photos carefully hide some of the issues with the car. For example, the photo of a single wheel and tire...you don't see the other three scraped wheels and the two front tires with no tread left at all. Within 50 miles of driving the check engine light came on. A catalytic converter problem.  Like others, a car that probably won't pass emissions...

If you are buying from Ultimate Motorsports be sure to get a bumper to bumper warranty, and factor that into the cost of buying the car. You might want to ask for an emissions certificate too, but then, you'll probably end up buying elsewhere.

I think the only difference between our two experiences was I never agreed to go outside of ebay.  I in fact called and emailed to have them update the transaction in ebay which they totally ignored.  Once they had their hands on the cash I was on my own, until they sent the shipping info.

I am now over 6k in parts and labor, finally the truck is driveable and passes emissions.

Folks can say whatever they want about not buying something sight unseen.  Had the these sheisters not had a 100% positive feedback, I wouldn't have even entertained the idea, that and the pics looked great.  Turns out the angle they took them from missed the keying down the entire left side of the truck so I still need a paint job.

I too have contacted the AZ AG and having my lawyer research Ebays hand in this.  This has been happening long before we ever bought cars from what appears to be the perfect example of the unscroupulous car dealer.  The way Ebay makes it difficult to report is the only reason they have their good rating so EBay is more than complicit.

There will be a webpage up in a few more weeks where you can tell your story regarding UMS.  I will post it here once I get a url addy that wont get me sued yet still allow us to warn people about these jokers.

Karma will make its way around to them.

Tim; I had exactly the same experience with Omar and Joe at Ultimate MS.  I bought a car that I bid on Ebay and it was declined.  I then received an email from Joe informing me I had won, but would be out of Ebay (so they can avoid Ebay costs). I completed the sale and Omar engaged in Wire Fraud by accepting my funds for an inferior vehicle not as stated on Ebay which I have already reported to the Texas Attorney General's office.  I tried to work something out with him to get the vehicle up to safety standards (Ultimate got the car through Texas vehicle inspection with major issues that would have prevented a normal consumer from passing FRAUD).  Omar never spoke with me again once the sale was over and forced his poor receptionist (a very nice person) to act as the intermediary.  Omar knew I was in the military and had no compunction with defrauding a service member.  These people are unscrupulous and should be avoided at all cost.  I have now spent over $1500 on getting this vehicle up safety standards. Oh, they even lied about it being a non-smoking Texas vehicle as it smelled  like an ash tray and the CARFAX stated it was from out of state!  They should change their name to "Ultimate Fraud"!

I reviewed the car sale count on ebay and it turns out they do have over 300 sales.  Doesn't change the fact they lie about the condition of their autos.  A mistake is what happens when something is owned up to, a lie is something someone did but will not admit.  My mistake.

It turns out when you make an offer, you should get contacted via your email thru ebay.  Never made an offer with something that had a buy it noe price before.

Upon checking the deal on Ebay I saw the seller removed the truck from the site.  He closed the deal outside of Ebay, essentially using the service as an advertisement to sell his crappy auto. Don't trust the 100% rating, check the BBB.

I only wish I saw their BBB F rating before I paid for the car.

There were 50 pics of the car online, none managed to capture the keying down the whole drivers side of it, right down to the substrate, or the shattered drivers side mirror. Upong delivery I discovered the battery was dead, it needed 4 new tires and with really even the spare will need replacing.  Front and rear leaking axle seals, all 4 shocks leaking, a faulty instrument cluster, and the front end needs to be redone to the tune of $3000 alone.

Between paint and repairs, I am will be down over $5000 on top of what I paid for the thing, which was in the excellent condition range in terms of cost, the interior is about the only highlight of the auto.

Beware, avoid Ultmate Motorsports Inc of Houston like the plague.  You will get ripped off. I have already contacted Ebay to get them removed.
