I bought a warranty through Don Robinson Motors on April 24, 2007 and canceled the warranty on January 31, 2008. I then come to find out that this comany Ultimate warranty is in bankruptcy and that I am not going to get my money back. I then do research and find out that they aren't even licensed to sell warranties in Minnesota and haven't were denied a license in 2002, and were caught selling them anyway in 2004 and were fined. Somebody need to do something about this. I only had my car for 8 months and I come to find out that it never would have been under warranty if something would have gone wrong in the next 4years and 4 months, which is how much of my loan I had left. This is a scam and somebody needs to be a ccountable, whether its this warranty company or the dealership, which had to have known.

Do file a small claims court action against Don Robinson Motors to get your money back.

This should come under the requirement of "Fitness of Purpose" as the warranty was not fit for its intended purpose of insuring you against excessive auto repairs. The key phrase is "Don Robinson Motors knew, or should have known, that the warranty was defective and unfit for its intended purpose."
