I purchased a service agreement from Ultimate Warranty Corp. with the purchase of a used vehicle in 2004.

Just recently I needed to make a covered repair to the vehicle. My first problem encountered was a rude customer service rep. who told me the repair was not covered under my warranty, I told her it was, then she told me I needed to authorize the repair first, that is why I was calling.

The service center repairing my vehicle called Ultimate Warranty the next day. The repair was authorized, but they were instructed to have me pay the full amount for the repair, then I would be reimbursed. After paying the bill, I called Ultimate Warranty the next day to see when I would be reimbursed. I was told there was no time frame for payments. When I asked what that meant, I was told they didn't know when I would receive any money. I asked why, and I was told that Ultimate Warranty was no longer a company and that their claims were being administrated by CARRGG, and there were no funds available to make payments. Now I have spent $1500 on a useless extended service contract and $340 on a repair that should've been covered by them. I should have been notified about the business closing when authorizing the repair. I have no idea when or if I will recieve a reimbursement. EHRG!
