Ultra Garcinia Cheyenne WY Misleading website leads to unwanted subscription charges Las Vegas Internet
Be careful when typing in the url or web addresses.
I was trying to navigate to the Costco website and had erroneously typed in cocstco.com.
That web address brought up a web page that claimed to be a " customer survey" for Costco, after taking the "survey" you were offered some "samples" that you could get by paying the shipping of $4.95.
I actually thought it was from Costco.
After stupidly typing in my address and credit card numbers I did receive the sample of a face cream a week later.
However not only is there a charge of the $4.95, there's also a charge of $94.95 for "subscription services" from a company called "Utragarcinia Cheyenne WY"
I did not ask for a subscription and the face cream came without ay information about the company or anything.
No way to contact the company was provided.
I am trying to get my credit card issuer to cancel this charge.
I did some investigation and found that the domain name , cocstco.com is registered through Godaddy from at least 2004.
But I could not find anything about the company from the Whois website, but a Google search of "Utragarcinia Cheyenne WY" turns up a website ultragarciniacambogia.com which has the same MO, but you can find the "subscription " warning in the terms and conditions.
I think there are numberous websites by this same company/individual.
