Complaint Review: Ultrex Innova

This company sells bad products through HSN. I have had to send back a ice cream maker that did not work when purchased, I have had to send back a deep fryer that did not work, they returned me a dirty used one that was full of greasy film, evidently one that had been returned by another customer or a demo. I have a Ultrex convection oven that I purchased in July of 2002, and paid 325.00 for it. It was used at the most 18 times. The heating element went out on it. I called the local appliance companys to see if they sold the element, they told me that I would have to contact HSN or Ultrex directly.
I called them day after day and held for up to one hour at a time. I e-mailed them and 4 days later got a response telling me to call them.

I called them again and held for 45 minutes and got a hold of the rudest customer service rep in my life. She told me I was on my own now because the warranty expired a few months ago and there was nothing else they could do for me. She did not even allow me to purchase a new heating element from them since they are the only ones who will carry the element.

I have purchased products that had to be recalled.
I have purchased and so has my mom and aunt the expensive stainless steel cookware that is all spotty and looks dirty and water gets under the handle and you have to remove handle every time it is washed just to dry out the space between handle and glass on the lid. It is ridiculous.

I have contacted HSN and I am contacting the Federal Trade Commission on this issue.

The host of Ultrex, ART gets up there and tells how great the company is and how they back their products.
I will NEVER buy from them again. There is lots more complaints out there on the web concerning this company and more to come.
