Complaint Review: Unbundled legal services

I called to inquire about this service on September 7, 2018. After speaking with Matt he sounded as if he could help with my situation. Never did he say he’s not an actual attorney in fact he went on to give me advice about my case as if he were an attorney. After paying the initial 250$ fee, which I thought was to get the ball rolling on my case, I was sadly mistaken. After I paid the fee, Matt gave me a contact number for him but after that day it was hard to keep contact with him. I got the cold shoulder after days of not hearing from him or anybody else about my case. I eventually did my own research on the company only to find out they’re not attorneys they are there to help connect you with one and you go from there. So I again contact him, mind you he never said he wasn’t an attorney or paralegal because he was still giving me advice on my case. 2 weeks later still no attorney so I finally text Matt on the 22nd to express my concerns. I asked for a refund because I wasn’t pleased with their services because in two weeks I was never contacted by an actual attorney. He finally said they weren’t actual attorneys and it was in the contract I signed. I told him that their company is misleading and they should probably make it clear to people that are experiencing serious matters in court that they aren’t attorneys when they first contact them. The stress level is already high when individuals are experiencing legal matters and this definitely made my anxiety level rise 10X’s more. Not only did I lose 250$ but also another 40$ they took for monthly enrollment which I also didn’t know about. I hope this helps someone before they’re scammed out of money like I was.
