Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe After changing my oil, they failed to replace the oil pan cap properly and it fell out, resulting to the destruction of my engine. Kalamazoo Michigan
I had my oil changed at two differnt Uncle Eds Oil Shoppe locations in Kalamazoo, MI over the course of several years; Stadium Drive and Westnedge Avenue. I have the complete history of the services I received at both of these locations.
After the last oil change, at the Stadium Drive location, the oil pan cap fell off and all the oil drained out o my 2006 Jeep Liberty, which resulted in the total destruction of my engine. The cost to replace the enigne was just under $5,000.00.
The district manager, Quintin Kleber came to my apartment parking lot to "investigate". He submitted a report to the insurance company.
My Jeep was towed to the local Jeep dealership. A claims adjuster was assigned to the case. I spoke to him, he indicated that he ususally only does accident investigations, but would go to the dealership to investigate.
I then heard back from Daniel friel from Nationwide Insurance whom represented Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe. He said they were not responsible for the issue and refused to claim.

Did you immediately cease operating the vehicle when the oil pressure warning light came on? Did you immediately cease operating the vehicle when you heard loud knocking and clicking sounds?
