Complaint Review: Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe

I took my Police car in to just have them "check" the work of one of their other shop's, since I had found low fluid levels. The manager "Chris" was more then happy to help...Yeh. They sent a mechanic to my window and started to rattle off that I needed a new belt, that with the car's milage it should have a "injection treetment" and that I needed a new Fuel filter (in-line). Afterwords, I was told that the car would spit and sputter a little, bull the motor BLEW on the way home to plainwell from Kalamazoo, 13 miles. Now after paying them $189.51 to blow up a motor that was rebuilt a year ago and I told them that, I have to have the motor rebuilt at $2498.70 plus wrecker charges, another $100.00 and even after speaking to the manager about what happened the same day as well as the dealership who has serviced the car for the past five years. They said it was an older car and anything could have made the engine blow. Bull said the dealership, we just rebuilt this police motor, your service and advice voided his warrenty. Uncle Ed's oil shoppes will tell you anything to make the sale! GET the Money and do it fast and wrong, and off their property. Don't let them touch your car!
