The employees are nice but the owner Paul Mickel is downright nasty. He has a dr jekyll and mr hyde persona and it doesn't take much to see his rude and condescending side. He sells his equipment at ridiculous mark-ups and is very nice during the open water course. But if you ask for some consideration or some extra instruction, the bonhomie disappears. As soon as he senses that he cannot make any more dollars from you, he turns nasty.Stay away from this dive center. There are many others that have been around for a long time, unlike this one which is passing from one owner to another. These guys think they can buy a PADI franchise and turn it into a Stuart Cove with hundreds of employees in a few months. What they don't realize is that it takes true professionalism and hard work combined with great business sense and customer service. I would not recommend this store to anyone. If they leave such a bad taste in our mouths after open water, who will go back for advanced open water or other courses?
