I applied for unemployment May 20,2007 and got my first check for 1 week about 3 weeks later. Not too bad, but they took 50% out for my child support arrears when they are only entitled to 40% and told me they couldn't do anything about it.I then claimed the next weeks and I clicked the wrong answer(that I was unavailable to work for that 1 week) and before I was done claiming for this particular week I explained this in a box for this specific thing that it was an error and that I still couldn't find a job.And they denied me any further benefits until a adjudicator to call which they claim is "whenever!" it has been a month and a half now,I am told to still claim weeks which I have done. They are rude on the phone and I am still out what is owed to me.I have a family of 5 and we are facing hardships now like eviction, electric being cut etc.Who do these people think they are? I was layed off, I was entitled and for no good reason they play games! They have no real complaint number and their a**es are so big its like F U who cares about the little guy! EITHER WAY someone paid for these benefits and by law I am entitled. What Gives?
