I have seen many different post on here about this group, and most have the same general accusations. Some of these go so far as to actually accuse somebody of rape! If this is the case, why have the police not been called? What are the people in this 'cult' so afraid of that they would allow something like that to continue? My guess is that no rape has occurred. I also wonder, if that is the case, why has the leader of this group not sued the people making this accusation against him? That is serious defamation of character right there. Unless he is trying to hide something also? Some claim there is a sex video on the internet. I have never been able to locate it so I am not sure what to make of that.

There are other comments on the net that say this group steals money from investors. Who invests in a group of people that have no jobs, and do nothing but play music for a couple of hours a day? Why would a group that has 4 CD's on the market need investors for anyway? The CD's must not be selling. I listened to the latest album of theirs 'On Purpose' and wasn't impressed. They do sound very produced, and the instrumental solos are not exciting to listen to. It sounded like an over produced garage band to me; which leads us to another complaint that I have seen. This is another Milli Vanilli group. We all remember Ashley Simpson on the David Letterman show, get caught for lip sinking because her producer cued up the wrong song that was tracked out for her. Nothing much happened with that other than people made fun of her for a week and then forgot all about it. Actually most artists who play large events are not performing live. Do you really think that Brittney or Christina, or Usher can sing and do back-flips at the same time? I have never seen this group play any 'large venue' so I don't see why they would need to track the entire band if that's the case. Are the musicians in the group really that bad that they need to hide behind tracks? Maybe that's why they have to rely on investors for money? Sorry, but I am just trying to put all of these complaints together.

As far as this group of people being a cult, I guess that is for the members to deal with. If you don't like it then leave. It's not that hard, and there are millions of places to go for help. They have no jobs, so they have no money. Their website says nothing about any past, present or future events that they are playing. I really don't know how they are funktioning at all... see what I did there with their last album title? They are currently based in Las Vegas at the moment, but they don't seem to be playing there? I don't understand that at all. If you have no money, and there are twenty casinos that are looking for live entertainment, then why not play? Unless again it's because they are afraid of being called out for playing with tracks. Live music rules in places like Vegas, and Austin where the Tribe used to call home. Hmmm... could that be why they left Austin also? Again I am just trying to put all of these complaints together and make some sense out of a lot of bitter bickering.

All in all I have decided that convienently enough, most of these comments have been made at about the same time as their new album hit the market. Nothing sells like a little controversy, unless the controversy revolves around a group of people that nobody knows, or cares to know about. A look at their website, http://unifiedtribe.net/ will show that this is a group of middle age people who are trying to be a modern day Sly and the family Stone. They have posts that say they are the next Earth Wind and Fire, but they sound nothing like EW&F. Nor do they sound anything close to that 70's funk.
I think that the members of this group posting all of these outlandish claims, under hilarious names, (concerned, bella, chojin, joe from Austin) should just stop. Nobody cares about the fact you are all middle age people who have to rely on other peoples money to feel important. Grow up, get jobs, and find a new leader, because it seems to me from reading all of these posts, that you all have a lot of pent up rage about him. If I were in a group for over a decade, as one person said on here, and never made it, then it's not going to happen. Find a new group, or new leader.
