I purchased one pair of chef's pants for $34.99 and was charged $12.99 for shipping, but when my 'package' arrived, it was put into a plastic bag and stuffed into my mailbox.  I am willing to pay for good shipping, but clearly what I paid for shipping and handling was three to four times their cost.  I subsequently canceled my back order and complained to them telling them how unprofessional it was for me to pay $13 for shipping and not at least have the basic common courtesy and professionalism to ship my product in a box.  Luckily for them, my item was only wrinkled and not damaged, but they will not get my business again.  Profiteering off of shipping charges at the expense of the customer is regarded with the highest degree of incredulity.  I asked them why they didn't use a box, and they said it was standard to use a bag, and I said, no way!  If you're going to ship in a bag, fine, charge me $4 for shipping and not $13.  Now it doesn't matter, because you've lost my business for good--unless you can prove to me that you ship in a box and not in a bag.  The 10% discount ate some of the shipping cost, but what about regular customers who get ripped off on shipping charges?!?
