In May of 2005, my husband changed jobs. This required a move from Sheridan, AR to Alabama. So in April I contacted Union Moving for a price quote to move my belongings. I received several quotes from different companies. Union Moving had the best price & they offered "FREE" storage, this was a big selling point to me, because at the time we had not found a house to buy as of yet.

The day of the move was scheduled for June 8, they never showed up, so when i finally got a hold of Sue, & asked where the movers were, I was told at this time, that the move had been contracted out to Wings Moving & Storage. I was to contact them. This was the first I had been told that another company, not Union Moving would be coming to get my belongings. Finally on June 14, 2 guys from Wings Moving showed up, Bennie & Joseph.

I was given a price, up front, of $2175.00, which was paid in full, before June 8. The day they show up the price is increased $2300.00. My husband & I agreed to pay the additional charge & they proceeded to load my belongings on the truck. After 2 long days of them loading, at 1:30 a.m. on June 16th, i told them to quit & my husband & i would get the rest of our things & move them ourselves. At this time he presented me with a bill for $8162.00. I was told if I had a problem I was to contact Leah. Which on Thursday June 16, i did, after I went to the police station. Come to find out Bennie & Joseph, rented 2 storage units & put all of my stuff in them, never planning on bringing them to Alabama. We found some of my stuff in Sheridan at a local Storage unti, thanks to the help of the police.

One month later on July 19, we had a court date, Wings never showed up, they had Michael to call & tell us where our stuff was at. This was preplanned, the storage unit in Little Rock was rented on June 13, one day before they arrived at my house.

We finally received most of our stuff, there are a few items missing.

I just wanted everyone to be aware of this scam that is going on & not to be fooled by freindly voices & faces.
