I forgot to record a $100 check. When the check cleared, the bank overdrew 6 checks, 3 of which were for less than $10! This cost me $174 plus $10 for thier daily overdrawn fee (which I also think is a ripoff!)

Looking at my statement online it shows that the checks did not clear in descending order. According to it, I should have had 3 overdrawn checks.

I went to the bank 3 times before I was finally able to talk to the branch manager. I was told he could help me. When I talked to him, he informed me that he could not refund any of the charges but he would submit it. It has been a week and I still haven't heard anything. I don't expect to either. As soon as we get paid again, we will be switching bank accounts!

This isn't the first time something like this has happened either. A few years ago they "forgot" to post a deposit causing 7 checks to bounce. I had to go to all the places where the checks had bounced and provide them with a letter from the bank explaining what had happened. To this day, I still can't write a check at Home Depot because of that incident! I have never been treated this badly by a bank! I should have smartened up and switched banks long ago!
