The Union Workers Credit Services sends out a mailer offering a pre-approved visa or master card with a guaranteed credit limit of $10,000.00 with a 5% interest rate. They have a activation form for you to send back with $37.00 anual membership fee. The activation form states please send my platinum card membership asap with an approval number and a promise of a full refund of this fee with your first purchase using your $10,000.00 credit limit. My $37.00 check cleared my bank in 4 days of my mailing it. Three weeks later I recieve an entirely new offer from the New Milennium Bank appearing to be related to your offer from union workers but does not mention them or your previous $37.00 membership fee.

Now this offer states that to recieve my visa or master card or both i need to send back their acceptance form with another $35.00 for the least option and up to $69.00 for the best including a rush service for $10.00. well first time shame on you 2nd time shame on me ... i called the phone number on the back of the form only to find out after you pay this acceptance fee which clearly is to activate your card, even has note that cards cannot be processed without this completed form and the processing fee, you have to make a depost of $300.00 into the account and they couldnt tell me what dollar amout the credit line would be or the interest rate. They also claim to have nothing to do with the union workers credit services and didnt have any way of responding to any complaints about their original offer. They did give me their phone number,
which is complety automated answere service with a variety of options to choose from none of which are for customer service, complaints or to talk to a live person.

I too got the same letter as everyone else from UWCS. Once I open it, I could PLAINLY see that it was a credit card membership for catalog products. They do not say it is a Visa or Mastercard and if you go to their website it is plain to see unless you are an idiot. Now, I know this may offend some but I find it hard to believe that so many people are stupid enough not to confirm what it is they are getting. Companies like UWCS market to people with poor credit scores and can't get normal credit accounts. Their web address and contact info along with detailed terms can be found here = http://www.unionworkerscreditservices.com/index.htm

NOW - did you know that one of the things that makes for bad credit scores is to much debt to credit ratio..... meaning, if you have $10,000 of credit accounts and you owe\have used $9,000 of this then you only have $1,000 available so therefore have OVER extended yourself = bad credit score.

What many of you don't know is (using the same senario as above) if you enrolled in something like UWCS then your credit report would show that you have $20,000 in revolving credit and have only used 9,000 hence giving you a better score.

Now regarding New Millennium Bank and their credit cards... I have had 2 of their Visa and Mastercards for the past year. They are secured credit cards and your limit is what you submit into a savings account. I have $1,500 on one and $1,000 on the other. I had bad credit just like most and looked very hard at all the different card companies out there - they where the best. There is no relation between them and this UWCS. UWCS is just like USA Platinum etc. If you now are thinking that must have shares or something in either of these companies YOUR WRONG.

I'm just tired of hearing people b***h because they can't be sensible enough to read any offers they get in the mail. Stand up, be a man and take some bloody responsibility for your own actions people.
