I am writing once again to inform the insurance consumer. I recently resolved an insurance claim by arbitration order June 23, 2008. The defendants Unique Insurance Company represented by Parillo, Weiss, & Ohalloran did not file a rejection of award within the thirty day period. Judgement of award was signed off August 29, 2008. I personally filed three forms and the clerk stamped all three forms. One copy for the courts, one copy for Parillo, Weiss, & Ohalloran, and one copy for myself. I have been calling Parillo, Weiss, & Ohalloran for approxiamately two weeks leaving my phone number and messages for Ms. Peg Schmal the acting attorney in this case. Ms. Peg Schmal never returned any calls nor did she ever come to the phone. Today is October 8, 2008.

Ms. Peg Schmal left a message with the receptionist stating she never got the "Judgement on Award" and that she was also waiting for me to send her a copy. My question is if Ms. Peg Schmal never got the "Judgement on Award" why did she not inform me two weeks ago? Why did she not return my calls? And most importantly why did she only respond after I left a message with the supervising attorney?

Ninteen months after my car was totalled I still have not been compensated. Once again these letters are to inform the insurance consumer about the underhanded traits used by these insurance companies and law firms as well.

When we are wronged we must find a way to let the media know. Most of us think that our situations are isolated and this is one reason why these people take advantage us. Most of us do not have the time, money, nor resource to continue on especially the way the economy is today.

Finally, like many of you I pay my car premiums monthly with the hopes of nothing happening, such as car theft, accident, etc. assuming that I am covered. But this has been a rude awakening for me and these companies use our money to pay reputable law firms to defend their fradulent behavior. So if I must say something about Unique Insurance Company I must also say something about the law firm who represents them---Or should I say the attorney who represents them?
