I was looking for a filler that would plump up my face due to loss of fat due to aging...and was offered a dermal filler called "expression" and was not aware or told that it was not used for this purpose...and feel i was mislead to use this instead of my usual dermal filler "juvederm"...because they probably got it cheaper than the juvederm,,,and could get more people to use it because of the price per syringe....

The filler "expression" is only been approved for an intranasal splint for the use as intended to minimize bleeding and swelling and to prvent adhesions (sticking together) between the septum and nasal cavity...more information is available through the FDA.org website as to exactly why its not used for any other reason..and the FDA has asked all Practitioners to stop using it as a dermal filler because it could cause adverse effects..not to include swelling, tenderness, bumps, bruising..etc...

As far as the product lasting long,,it lasted maybe 3 months if i was lucky,,and feel i  was ripped off and not educated enough to make a smart choice...and irregardless of whether someone does their homework....i feel that it is their responsibility as a Doctor and business to inform their clients about what is in their best interest....

I would demand my money back but they wont answer my calls and they have already ripped me off some money I had paid ahead for other services later in the year...I think they should pay everyone back all the money they spent on this filler and readminister something else that is approved for a dermal filler....

How to avoid this ripoff in the future

Let me get this straight. You went to an office and alllowed someone to inject a substance into your face? And then you complain? I can't wrap my mind around the fact that someone would do that. Why don't you accept yourself the way you are and next time donate that money to homeless vets or something. That way you can avoid this rip-off in the future.
