Complaint Review: Unique World Services

Hi All,

Safety Technology or Unique Worldwide Services as I heard last ripped me and several other people off in the fall 2003.  They had an office located near the airport in Nashville, TN.  The same scene occurred as many of you described with the $75 kit fee.  We traveled to Birmingham, Philadelphia, MS, and other various part of the south to attend these "empowerment" meetings.  Their program required we sell fire extinguishers to family, friends, etc.  I purchased their products for family & friends and never received their orders.  Yet, they cashed my checks.  Mingolo and McAdams were the presidents at the time and Julieanne was also apart of the scam.  I was 22 at the time and so eager to get a job after graduating and should have realized these people were scam artists.  I quit after several months, but I did keep my receipts and called the number listed and the line was disconnected.  

I am embarassed about this situation, but I thought that sharing my story would prevent someone else out there from being taken advantage of.  The economy is too rough for this nonsense and they need to be locked up or punished.  How are these people still getting away with this after all this time?  If they aren't prosecuted, I hope they burn in hell for all the pain they have caused us!
