I just wanted to respond to Jessica who said that she was the secretary in the Florence, Alabama office. Jamie, the office manager in that office told us in our meeting that he has been there for 2 and a half months and he hired you when he started in that office so how can you have been there for 4 months? I am just glad that the people on this web site tell the truth. I have only been with the company for 4 days including training in Nashville. Everything that these people are saying about this company is true. I just didn't realize it until I heard it from other people that have been through it. I just feel lucky that I have only lost $170.00 so far. Thanks for letting me know before I lost even more money!!

Looking for Jessica for Help

Jessica,

I am an employee with Safety Technology, former Unique Worldwide Services. I have also experienced the same vile, obscene, perverted behavior from Mark Mingolo. I am still currently with this rip-off scam company because I am documenting every detail of their every move, mostly Mark Mingolo's. I am determined to take him down, but I don't know who to trust, so I am in need of former employees to help. I found this web site too late and am now in debt up to my a*s. But, not only losing the money (which I now know I will), but because my honor has been violated as a woman by this sex maniac. I wonder if anyone knows he has a child, and his wife must be a blind idiot. He must have scammed her too!

Anyway, Jessica (& anyone else with inside info),
Could you please take a chance and respond with your e-mail address, so I can contact you and give you my personal info. I cannot give out my
e-mail address because I still work for the company. Please help me....he has to be stopped!!

Jessica, I too have been snowed by that "company". I remember speaking with you personally after you left. Unfortunately, I did not heed your advice. I am very thankful that I found this site after some digging. Certain people did not want a naive person like me to find it and see what is really out there. I am sorry that I did not listen sooner.

On that note, I would like to take the opportunity to apologize to all that "trained" under me. I truly regret the part I played in it all. Please anyone who is out there, think about what Jessica has had to say. She is speaking the truth. No matter what, always remember, "If it walks like a duck and looks like a duck, it probably is a duck." Just because things "sound" great, doesn't mean that they really are.

For obvious reasons, I can not identify myself or my true town. Those that know their home area will know about where I am from.

My name is Jessica, and I am a former secretary for Unique Worldwide Services, Inc. (Florence office)I am embarrassed to read my above statements because I now know things about the company that I did not know before. Everything that is being said about this company is true. I did not get scammed myself, but I inadvertantly coerced others into being scammed, and I am very sorry to anyone who has gone through this. Under normal circumstances, maybe I would have known immiediately what was going on, but my office went through six managers in the time that I was there. I did not lie about being with the company for six months, as a matter of fact, I was there for eight months. The managers find a way to hide what is going on from the secretaries, mainly by telling them not to talk to the trainees about the job and vice versa. Jamie Jenkins, who was running the Florence office when I left, really let me in on what was going on. He seems like a good person who has probably acquired so much debt through his "training", that he is stuck in the position. Incidentally, I believe that the Florence office does not exist anymore, but I do know that when I left, the company was also operating under the name, Executive Plus. I feel so horrible for all the people who came into this under my advice. I want to try to help other people who might be considering employment with the company, so I will give a basic rundown of how the company works:

1) You will respond to a wonderful sounding ad in
the newspaper, where you will be enticed by a secretary to come in for an interview

2) You will be asked for a $75 dollar security fee, which is supposedly for a background check. A background check is never performed. The only check is a credit check, to see if you are financially able to buy into their scam.

3) You will be told you have to sell a certain amount of products, mainly fire extinguishers that are made of toxic material. (Of course, they leave out that last tidbit of information.)

4) After you sell this amount of products, you will be told that you have to sell just a little bit more, and you will have an office.

5) This process will continue until you have "sold" at least $11,000 worth of products that your customers will never get.

6) Since you will have to find your own customers, it is virtually impossible to sell this much, so your manager will call you into his/her office and tell you that you should "help yourself out", by maxing out credit cards, and buying the product yourself.

7) Now that you're in debt $11,000 or more, here comes the grand finale. It is finally time to "get your office", where you will be doing the same thing that has been done to you. When you go to sign your contract, you will be asked for another $3,000 to $7,000 for an office deposit.

8) Good luck paying off all those bills you've accumulated, because you will probably soon be fired.

I could write all night about everything that goes on in the company, but if I did, then no one would read it, and my main goal is to try to make up for what I've helped do to people by showing someone else what the company is all about.

Oh, and a final note to anyone who may be working as a secretary for the company - If you go to one of these secretary meetings out of town, make sure that Mr. Mingolo doesn't have keys to all of your hotel rooms, or else you might wake up with him on top of you like I did. Luckily, I was able to push him off of me and lock myself inthe bathroom, but if I had not had another secretary rooming with me, things might have been much worse.

"So let me get this straight. You did everything they told you to do and you actually got your office???? Wow, what a lie!!! " - Quote from Janet.

What Exactactly does that Comment mean?? So if he Did Everything that they Asked, He Still Shouldn't Have got his Office?? I Guess They should Have Taken him for more money... Right Janet??

since this isn't a "message Board" let me add Some Constructive comment, You Say Wal Mart, and Dell Have Bad Reports. What Does Wal Mart Have To Do with Unique?? Thats Apples and Oranges, also Wal Mart's Business License Has NEVER Been Revoked By the BBB; Prove Me wrong on that one Janet.

Want more Advice? Avoiding a Scam is simply Realizing that when the Job is Sales, and they Ask for money upfront, with out Promising a Refund on a WRITTEN CONTRACT. Then you know they just want your money.

Hey "Upset", who was it that made u pay $16,000 to go through your training and complete it? Did it ever state in your contract, You Must Pay $16,000 To Complete Training?.

Did you ever think, maybe I don't have to pay for all this? Just maybe if you did it correctly YOU WOULDN'T HAVE SPENT A d**n DIME!!!!!!!

Why don't any of you people try and go through training CORRECTLY??? Also, guess what? They actually do run background checks. I have talked to the P.I. personally.2ndly

Nobody gets commission off that, did you? NO!! And also Mr. Mc never even remotely said "Do $2000 and your done". So let me get this straight. You did everything they told you to do and you actually got your office???? Wow, what a lie!!!

please listen carefully, i am an ex-manager and what everyone is saying is true. the company really is a scam, get out before you're drained of every bit of money you have or dont have. It's sad to say that Im out 16,000 dollars because of this company only to find out once i became manager that i have to lie to people to get them to spend as much money as they can!

I was a manager for 4months and I glad Im out! I cant believe I even did this now! Its a wonder people dont see this in the beginning. We had to ask for a $75 background fee, but we dont even check background, we use that for part of our commission, Mr McAdams also told us to tell the trainees that they would have to do $2000 and they will be finished when i know thats a complete lie!

When I finished, Mcadams & Mingolo told me no one finishes w/out AT LEAST $10,000.00 and then they ask for $6K before you can even get your office! Boy was i stupid to believe this was an legit company!

It sure seems funny to me that everyone that files a report about this company in a derogatory manner has been lied to, or mislead or something of this nature.

As I see it, all the people who apply to this company are lied to and people like Jessica try to cover it up.

Secretary/Receptionists with this company have a HUGE turnover, so IF this Jessica person has been with the company for 4 months, then she is a very rare creature.

It only makes me wonder why that only the people who see what REALLY goes on in this company soon enough to get out before they get buried neck deep in it like all the other managers have, are the only ones that have been lied to about who what where and when with this company.......

Things that make ya go hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

My name is Jessica and I am the receptionist for the Florence office. I have been with the company for about four months, contrary to what Kim believes. I was the receptionist for the office
BEFORE our current manager arrived.

I don't know if Kim was lied to, or if she misunderstood. However, I would like to clear my name. I am not a liar and do not appreciate being called one. I have been with the company for about four months, and I can provide proof of this for anyone who feels that they need verification.

If Kim really was lied to, then I am very sorry for her, but I feel that she should find out who it was that lied before posting someone's name on the internet!
