I am receipt of a letter stating I am one of 20 individuals selected to share the grand prize of $5 million dollars. They enclosed a check in the amount of $4890.00 and instructed us to telephone the 905-598-1610. Out or curiosity I called. I actually spoke with someone. His name Lewis McGregor. I was instructed to deposit this check into our account and contact him again for further information of where to wire the money for our taxes to be pre-paid. Big red alert!!! This individual is a joke! Do not cash the check! It will come back insufficient funds! Turn it over to law authorities and let them put this scum where he belongs.

Yep, they're also known as Starmark Financial. Do a search here for that name, you'll find lots of complaints about the same "Lewis McGregor".

Heads up, take note, everyone who is reading this. Money will not ever, ever EVER just fall into your lap out of nowhere. This is NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Not even if you play the lottery. You're not someone's long-lost relative. And the government does not want to return any money to you (they actually want to take money from you, and keep it, remember? If they actually do have money of yours, YOU have to contact THEM. Do a web search for "unclaimed assets". And they don't make it easy. Not all states are in the database, not all states list all available lost assets, you may have to search state-by-state, and so on. Start here: http://www.unclaimed.org/ the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators).
