United Air Comfort Deceptive Advertizing ripoff Ft. Lauderdale Florida
Called United Air Comfort for the $29 "AC-Tune-UP" Two technicians came in a beat-up pick up, we went up to the roof together and I watched what they were doing.
Instead of "Calibrating thermostat for energy savings"
"Adjust fan belt for energy savings"
"Lubricate all moving parts for energy savings"
"Electronically measure amperage draw for maximum
efficiency"
"Secure fan blades and balance motor for reduced
wear"
"Monitor expansion valve for optimum operation,
efficiency and capacity"
The technician made a visual inspection and checked the freon pressure, leaving a 7 ft high claud of freon when he disconnected the gauges. When I asked the technician why he did not perform the jobs which were advertized he told me that they were not necessary. He also tried to charge me sales tax on this service and add about 10% to the $ 58,-. When I asked him why he added a sales tax, if there was no sale, he told me that he never heard that there is no sales tax on a service.

Later I called the company and they promised they would send someone else. A week later the same technician came and told me in a rude way: "What do you want, you are waisting my time !"
When I told him that he did not perform the jobs which were advertized he replied "What do you expect me to do for $ 29 ?"
I called the company again and another time they promised to send someone else. I waited the whole day but nobody came.
