WOW, where do I start. I heard that United stores all through Texas where shutting the doors this week because of some sort of Licensing issues and pissed off customer complaints. So that made me wonder and I took a look at RIP-OFFS and....OH MY GOD I could not believe the complaints made on this company. Here is my story. I answered an add that should have sent up a red flag. It stated earn $600 to $1000 a week if you have a truck or van.

I thought WOW I could use that kind of money. I called and they told me come on in we are having a orinetation on Monday. I asked what the job was and they said AC/Heating. I asked if experience was a requirement they said of course not we will train you and you will be on your own in a few weeks. Very suspicious. Big shoke I was on my own in two days.

Man these guys are real stupid but I will give it a try. They where lucky to get someone like me I was very mechanicaly able and had a good knowledge of all kinds of machinery so I worked hard and learned alot on my own. In short I took very good care of my customers and never took advantage of them. But the only thing they taught was deveate and dishonest behaviour that discusts me and even though I do not work there any longer I will apologize to every body riped off by this company simply because I worked there.

I am sorry the owner MR. Berch does not have the courage and manhood it takes to take credit for his dishonest actions. He knows who I am and I hope he reads this. He should be ashamed and he should be convicted of being a gutless criminal worm. I feel for all of the guys I trained and did not tell the truth to and tell them to run as fast as they could away from this pit of lies and unrealized promises of company trucks and insurance.

In closing if the rumors I have heard from a real reliable source are true and the stores are closing down. It is a good thing. Also for consumer information. If you have had any equipment repair or replacement from this company they are liable by law to give you one year of free warranty service.. This may give you a legal way to cause them brief if they leave your area.

TDLR & ACCA will not allow the Berch's to open back up

#7UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, December 17, 2003

I doubt very strongly that United/Mark Berch will open in Texas simply due to this: TDLR will not allow the Berch's to open back up in the state. ACCA will not allow it niether. They will be looking very closely at all companys who apply for changes with an out-of -state company. And for the record, As of the middle of November 2003 United had no License holder for TX, so for all the invoices which were written this past 30 days, are a TDLR violation. Companies such as these, are the reason we have to pay outragous renewals on our licenses and IF any complaints are proven us guilty, The penalties went from $500/day/offense to $5000/day /offense. People such as the Berch Bros and many just as crooked, care little for anyone except how much money can we wring out of them

The Berch Brothers didn't just scam the customers they scammed thier employees too.

Fred,
If you find out or know the new name of the Window company please post it. As a connected company to United Restoration they could be in trouble too. If you personally were ripped off or other employees were contact an attorney. The Berch Brothers didn't just scam the customers they scammed thier employees too. The pay structure that they were paying (commission only) quite often fell below the federal minimum wage. You or other employees could be entitled to back wages and damages.

They have started to close there texas stores

#7Author of original report

I have new information on united. They have started to close there texas stores from what i understand. However I also heard they are getting a new license holder and may open back up under another name. I have very good sources so if I find out for sure this is happening I will update again. They will also be changing the name of the window division so be aware of anyone you use and check them out well. I am sure this is happening as far as the closing goes because they only have 3 techs working the Dallas Ft. Worth area at this time. They used to run about 30 to 40. So if this is any indication of what is going on it is true.
