Ever since I bought my vehicle I have been harassed by these people. Every single payment made on time each and every month yet harassing phone calls were made to friends and family members and myself "reminding" me that my payment was due the following week and if it wasn't received my vehicle would be repossessed!

After a couple years of this and no improvement in my credit score, I figured why bother, I will it when I pay it. I ran into some financial trouble and missed one payment, they called my employers, friends, family members, and even neighbors (whose names and addresses I never gave them!). They even went to my sister's house and pushed past her when she opened the door and started taking inventory and announcing to her everything they could take from her if she didn't pay up. She was so scared because she had no idea who they were! They had the wrong person.

Next, they tried to repo my brother-in-law's vehicle (we have the same year make and model vehicle but different colors) and insisted that it was my vehicle and they had every right to take it! I called them and they tried to act as if they were going to be helpful by tacking the payment on the end. They became very upset when I said no thank you, I will make the payment now along with any associated late penalties. They just wanted to collect more interest (24% for another 2 years on that missed payment).

Again, approximately 10 months later I run into a little financial trouble (I am a single parent and my kids recently suffered from an E-coli type illness...very serious) I was away from home for several weeks and fell behind on my bills but did make all payments (even if they were late) after sending United Auto Credit a money order (they refused to accept personal checks after the late payment 10 months earlier)for approximately $600 I was startled a week or so later to see flashing lights in my driveway in the middle of the night! The man said he had a repo order.

I told him he was mistaken because I owned that vehicle, had clear title, and all my canceled checks and more recently money order stubs showing I had made every payment. He said he didn't care, he had orders. I contacted the police and filed a report and the towing company has been charged with theft by taking.

I still don't have my vehicle back and will probably lose my job since I have missed so much work due to my kids' illness and now I have no transportation. If I owed penalties or accrued interest from the late payment they should have told me. They never contacted me. I did note that there had been several hang-ups on my machine from calls made from a blocked number. Maybe it was them.

All I have to say is that this was nothing short of harassment and now I am without a vehicle, and without my money! I am furious and would like to see these people pay!
