Unfortunatly ,I was convinced by my store's previous owner, that United Bank Card was the cheapest and most efficient credit card processor.Little did I know that if he didn't transfer the account to me then he would have been charged a $1000.00 cancellation fee. When my account information was stolen I had to change all of my bank account numbers. I faxed the new check and information to my contact from United Bank Card so that the new account could be immediatly activated and the credit cards could start settling into the account. For some reason the contact from UBC didn't get it done. In the meantime, I was contacted by another company that offered much better prices and could immediatly settle the money into my new account. Unaware of the cancellation fee, I decided to change to them instead.
United Bank Card has an outrageous cancellation fee. Due to lack of use from UBC, my account was cancelled and I was charged a $1000.00 fee. There was no contact from their part to tell me that I was going to be canceled or to try to resolve this issue. I was very thankful that they no longer had my account # because from what I heard they will just withdrawl the fee from your account. I eventually worked out an agreement to renew the service with UBC and I would not be charged the $1000.00. I then received a call from a collection agency saying that I need to pay them the fee. When I told them that I was dealing with UBC about the issue they then told me that UBC no longer wanted to deal with me. I understand that I signed the contract and that I did owe the fee, but you would think that UBC would try to understand that they are dealing with small businesses and that the cancellation fee is outrageous. They are the most expensive and shady credit card company out there. They cannot be trusted with your bank account and they do not care about their customers, they only care about money.

I used to word as a outside ISO of this merchant service provider. I recently found out this company changed numbers on applications which i submitted and also charged false cancellation fee's extremely similiar to the above scenario, and not $200 im talking $800+. This company will probably post something to the extent "We will resolve any situation blah, blah, blah" they are liar's and i promise you those hidden fees you are worried about will rape your bank account.
Not only do they outright charge you a cancellation fee they wont honor what your contract says, i have merchant who i signed up where the paperwork stated "no contract" and now they are being charged upwards of 1000.00 to cancel. If you dont believe me, trust me i dont care, but i can garauntee this, in a few months you will be the next post on here. have a great day!
