Harbortouch | United Bank Card REVIEW: Comitment to Harbortouchâs executive team and employees are committed to customer satisfaction. Harbortouchâs approach to business is focused on providing the highest customer satisfaction in the industry.
I signed up with Transcendent One merchant services which is a offshoot of United Bank Card, inc First of all they constantly raise their rates and the statement are confusing. I would constantly have money deducted from my account and could never find that same amount anywhere on my statements. During tax time, the amount deducted on my statements was way less than what was actually taken out of my account. When I called to complain about some new charges on my account they said it was a mistake, refunded it to my account then took it out again later. I stayed for the three year contract and when I tried to quit, they claim that because I missed the ridiculously small window of termination, that I was "automatically" resigned to another year contract and I have to pay $250 early termination Rape-fee. Everything about this company is deceptive. Instead of being win-win, they only want to bleed you with fee after fee and trick you into emptying your pockets. Stay away. The last two years, credit card processing averaged 4 to 5% total. Last year they took 10% of my profit.

You lost 10% of your profit, yet you still gained 90%. As to the raised fees, that is across the board with all processors. Whenever the Interchange rate or rates imposed by the Federal Reserve are raised, it reflects on the merchant. Now you should be happy that the Debit/Check Card, be it online or offline, is reduced to 0.05%. Contact your local agent and ask to be placed on Interchange Plus. If not, then your processor will continually make the profit in those cards, yet you will still gain 90% profit line.
Why the gripe? Accept the 10% loss, you're making 90% gain.
