I responded to an add on Facebook for a free Walmart card by taking a survey. This was a bogus offer with no card and no survey, but I was led on at the time. I signed up for a Netflix account through the offer. I had intended to do that and took this opportunity to do so believing I was on their site. I was not, although it appeared that I was.

I gave my Debit card information and this information was used by United Benefit Advantage company to sign me up to an expensive Identity Theft Program that does not seem to exist on the web. They made two large charges to my account without my knowledge and had planned to continue to make monthly charges.

Dear Studio Red Bank in Eatontown, NJ, USA

I am an employee with, Cbsi – (Consumer Benefit Services, Inc.) we are located at 1620 Bond Street | Naperville, IL 60563 | (630) 420.6200. It is our custom to search www.RipoffReport.com for complaints that are related to programs that use our benefits and services.

We came across your complaint against the “United Benefit Advantage” program and we have some information that may be useful to addressing your concerns.

The UBA program is not an independent company. It is the name of a discount membership program that utilizes our exclusive savings on merchandise, travel, entertainment, and a variety of other services.

At Cbsi, our business is in designing & servicing Discounted-Benefit Membership Programs. The programs we create are only sold to separate Third Party Businesses/Resellers. Cbsi does not solicit or telemarket our programs to consumers.

The Third Party Businesses/Resellers, in turn, offer their program/s to their customers as an added benefit at no charge, or they market their program/s to consumers as an opportunity to join their club.

The representatives in our customer service center only answer in-bound calls from members who are attempting to use the services offered within their program. Our representatives do NOT place solicitation calls to consumers at all.

None of our program websites request or receive account information from banking/credit institutions, neither do they include surveys, or provide special offers through Walmart or Netflix registration.

Cbsi is a separate corporation, and is not related to the Third Party Businesses/Resellers. Therefore, Cbsi is NOT responsible for the Marketing & Business practices of the Third Party Businesses/Resellers.

You indicated in your complaint that you were signed up to an Identity Theft program and that two charges were applied to your account. We are NOT the company that charged you. However, we may be able to assist in finding the company who did. To do this we would need to perform a name search in our database to verify status of your membership registration.

If you call our customer service center at (888) 255.4989, our representatives can verify your membership status and direct you to the third party company that registered your membership.

Again, Cbsi only services the benefits of the UBA program to registered members. We do NOT register or bill members. Members are enrolled by the separate third party marketers. Please call us at (888) 255.4989, we may be able to put you in touch with the third party marketer who enrolled and charged you. We would like to see that all your concerns are reconciled immediately.

Sincerely,

Edwin V.
