Neighbors with the same last name recieved a message about me from UCB. It stated that I had damanging legal actions against me. They made the message sound as if this woman was a lawyer. "I have to be in court this afternoon".

Go to www.ftc.gov and read it all. They canot give the "False representation or implication that any individual is an attorney or that any communication is from an attorney." I had a colection agency after me that broke about every rule in the FDCPA. I wrote a letter ( sent it "retrn receit requested") sighting every violation and I haven't heard from them since. Unfortunately it's still being reported on my credit report because I refused to pay a dime on the account. (See reports about Family Savers shopping club. Big time scam.) You just have to know your rights.

I have also been a victim of this company. They left a message on my machine stating that they were filing a lawsuit against me. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission, and called and orally voiced my complaint and also sent a letter certified. I am filing a lawsuit against this company. I am also interested in other people who have proof of FDCPA violations from UCB.

Contact the Collection Agency board and file a formal complaint. If this idiot is an attorney, file a complaint against her with the Attorney Disciplinary Action Committee. Contact the Colorado Supreme Court to file the complaint.
The initial complaint must be an oral report.
