United Collection Bureau Quit bothering us!!!! Toledo Ohio
United Collections Bureau has been calling our home phone for more than a year looking for my wife's ex-husband. They have been divorced for 17 years; we have been married for 15 years.
The children they had together have grown up and moved out. He never paid child support for any of them.
We have lived at this address with this phone number for three years. He has no idea where we live.
We have no idea where he lives.
We don't want to know where he lives.
We are not responsible for this 57 year old man's debts!!!
We have given all this information to UCB over and over and over again by leaving phone messages and even talking to representatives.
We have tried being courteous; now we are being extremely rude to them.
Why won't they leave us the hell alone!!!!!
Good credit

Annoying phone calls from United Collection Bureau

We are having problems with United Collection Bureau with annoying phone calls.
We have been receiving these calls from the UCB for quite some time now. The
calls are also left on our voicemail informing us that one of our family members
owes a debt. As far as we know this family member does not owe any money
to anybody. How can we stop these annoying calls?

Since neither you or your wife are on the credit agreement of this 57 year old, then you have no obligation to talk to these scumbags at all. By the FDCPA law, anyone can write a written "cease communications letter" to United Collections Bureau at anytime and calls have to stop. Simply state "Under the guidlelines of the FDCPA, this is your official legal notice to cease all communications with our household over the phone and in writing." Make sure you send this certified mail return receipt requested to their Toledo address. Save the green card as proof they received it. If calls persist, file a lawsuit for blatant FDCPA violation of continuing communication after receiving your cease communications demand letter.
