In September 2011, Ricardo Coronado and Morgan Heard of the United Events Group contacted me to write three press releases to promote their A Swingin' Affair gala to celebrate Frank Sinatra's birthday on Dec. 11, 2011.

I, an award-winning professional journalist of 20 years, agreed to take the assignment and had them sign a contract to detail the work and payment schedule. I did my job and they did not pay me. They are in breach of contract. They told me that they lost money on the event and don't have money to pay me. They also told me that this event was a benefit for the Alzheimer's Association, but then told me they didn't raise any money for that organization. I called Alzheimer's Association and the said they never heard of them.

I took Morgan Heard to small claim's court in Los Angeles in March 2012 and WON. He never even showed up in court and even though there is a court judgement against him to pay me, he refused to pay. They are in the process of setting up the second A Swingin' Affair gala for later this year without having paid people, like myself, who worked on the 2011 gala. I fear they will rip off another charity and more vendors and they need to be stopped.

Missing Commas in Keywords

Just to clarify: In the keywords listed here: United Events Group UEG, Morgan Heard, Ricardo Coronado, A Swinging Affair Gala ripped off charity, breach of contract, non-payment of fee Palm Desert, California

There is supposed to be a comma after Gala and after ripped off and after fee. It was not supposed to read as ripped off charity. It was supposed to read as this string of keywords, not a sentence fragment: United Events Group UEG, Morgan Heard, Ricardo Coronado, A Swinging Affair Gala, ripped off, charity, breach of contract, non-payment of fee, Palm Desert, California.

It was not intended to say they ripped off a charity. The commas were missing. The body of the original report is 100% accurate, though.
