Complaint Review: United Financial

I recieved a check in the mail for the sum amount of $4,975 and a letter that stated i had won in this sweepstacks from switzerland and they had tried numerous amounts of times to contact me. wow, i thought i have won, but then it said that i needed to cantact a mr. Richard clair. so i did... when i spoke with the gentleman he told me that i needed to deposit the chek into my checking account and afterwards call him back and he would give me the information i needed to pay the taxes on my winnings thru this canadian tax payer.

so i proceeded to call him back (of course i didnt deposite it) after i looked up this de-switzerland sweepstakes and found it to be fraudulant, then i called the actual bank that was listed on the check i had recieved, i ask them if this check was valid or fake, i gave her the number and a short discription of the check and from there she had told me that it was in fact fake and that their police dep. had been on the case. so i faxed over the check and the letter.

then i called the gentlemen back and told him that i had deposited the check and he then gave me the name of another women and her address being nancy cowell @150 Elgin st. ottawa, canada and that i had to western union her $2,950 immediatly, then to call him back. well when he said that i told him he was a peice of sh@# and that he was gonna get caught one of these days.

so please look into any "free" money that comes thru the mail. He will get his sooner or later.
