I have been paying United Financial Systems monthly payments for the last 5 years or so and am almost done paying off the last two of four cards at 4% interest instead of 25% interest.  However, UFS has not paid my last two cards since July 13 for a total of 1302 dollars I have given them and they haven't used toward any of my cards.  I am going to have to pay the cards directly so I can keep the great interest rate or they will go back to the crazy rate I had before.  If i do not hear back from UFS in a day or so after emailing them I am going to the Better Business Bureau to report them and put a stop on their ACH withdrawals from my checking account.  They are stealing money from me and are about to ruin my credit which has almost been mended finally.  United Financial Systems in Florida are taking my money and keeping it instead of doing what they said they would.

Did you check to see if UFS actually made the promised payment?

Your last post indicated that UFS would make the payments on Sept 24 2010. I am only asking because there are so many complaints about UFS it would be helpful to others if UFS actually followed up on their promise to you to make that payment or if their promise was an empty promise. You do seem to be one of the lucky people where UFS has actually paid down your debt with your money.

Did you know you can do the same thing with a credit card company without involving a third party like UFS? You can work directly with the credit card company's hardship program and not ruin your credit in the meantime. You have to close your account in exchange for a good interest rate (usually zero to 4%).  But then you have no fee to pay to an outside party and each payment you make goes directly to the debt.

Emailing them worked better than calling 100 times for days.  The woman I spoke to was very helpful.  She called right after I filed with BBB so if anyone else needs help, try emailing to the address on the company website.
