First we thought this program was great, and my husband and I were convinced that the $3500 price tag was worth it.  The agents use a program to show you how much you can save and how soon you can be out of debt making this program and company look great, but it doesn't take into account ANY extra expenses! The numbers that they give you assume that NO life emergencies that would cost you money would arise, that your financial income will never change, the credit cards and interest rates you have will NEVER change etc..etc... so this report that they show you to try and get you to buy into this is FALSE in every aspect, unless of course  you change, and life doesn't change, a single aspect of your finances.

The program no longer needs a HELOC, we never used that version.  But what we did have was the MMA version 4.  This program takes forever to use!  If you execute more than one item it freezes your system, executing one item or imputing one item take at least 2-3 minutes. After complaining about this for almost SIX months we were told "oh, there's an updated version, why don't you have that?" WHY!? Because this poor excuse for a company never even notified us that there was an update!  So here we are today, with this "new and improved version" and what do I see today as I scroll through to check our finances for the month...transfers from credit cards to our checking account.  Wait...what? Isn't this suppose to be helping me to get OUT of debt but now it's telling me to transfer money from a credit card to my checking account., they do realize interest rates for cash advances are ridiculous, right?!  After TWO hours, yes 2 hours, going back and forth with customer service I am told that the program is telling me to make those transfers because I would have insufficient funds without them! Well hell, if I had known this I wouldn't have made some of the expenses I did and if my checking account didn't have the funds that I needed I could have made the decision to either not make the purchases or just use the credit card to make them - the interest rate would have been less!

To add insult to injury we CAN'T, not even if we wanted to, make transfers from our credit cards to our checking account! So now we are in a terrible financial position, trying to figure out where the money that we are going to fall short is going to come from.  And this happens 2 weeks before my sons birthday and 3 weeks before my daughters prom.

All this trouble could have been prevented if the company had not developed a software that now appears to be more on the side of the credit card companies than the client.

Now what I have is an overpriced, non-accurate, financial software that if I do not watch very carefully will try to help my credit card companies by having me take money from a credit card to put into my checking account, which again isn't even feasible.

Don't buy into this junk, what was at one point a seemingly reputable company has since become a money hungry uncaring practice at best.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, March 30, 2012

I really thought this program was dead in the water - it really is such a rip off and their refund department is the pits.

My suggestion to you is to write the the Utah Better Business Bureau.  Format your complaint in a word document first, and then copy and paste into the body (sometimes their website does goofy things and you have to retype everything so it is better if you already have the complaint in a saved format).

Because United First Financial does not want a bad BBB rating, they will refund you.

Good luck!!!  Check out other FREE programs on the web or in books that will help you get out of debt.
