I checked UMNPA's 501(c)(3) status as a charity on 501c3lookup.org. They were not on the list for Orange County or LA County.

I live in Orange County, California. Two young women from United Mission for Nonprofits of America (UMNPA) came to my door asking for a donation to help veterens that need help once they come back from a war. The two were dressed nomally and did not display any strange behaviors. Since I never give money to any organization before I research them very thoroughly; I said I may donate later.

They gave me an address - 620 Newport Center Dr., Suite 1100, Newport Beach, California 92660. When I looked up the address, this same address is also listed as having a financial company at that same address and suite number in Newport Beach.

When I called the number 1-866-290-5673 and asked for one of the names of one of the women, I was passed to a woman named Indigo. When I asked about the address, Indigo said, "Oh, we just moved from LA." It's odd that the address in LA has the very same suite number as the one in Newport Beach.

When I called the LA number 1-800-808-5321, Indigo answered again.

Again, I checked UMNPA's 501(c)(3) status as a charity on 501c3lookup.org. They were not on the list for Orange County or LA County.

It all seems very suspicious to me.

After receiving a rebuttal from UMNPA.org, through Ripoff Reports, I may have been wrong about United Missions Non-Profit of America. The owner has presented the IRS 501c paperwork with her rebuttal and I now stand corrected.

UMNPA's response to false accusations

Hello my name is Indigo Allendorf of UMNPA. I would first like to graciously thank the community and all of our donors for your continued support. Without your help the amazing things we are doing in the Veteran and military community would not be possible. We recently learned of accusations about the merit of our organization that were made on this blog site from a disgruntled ex-girl friend of one of our associates. I can assure you there is no merit what so ever to the accusations regarding UMNPA. I would gladly take the author or any interested party on a tour of our veteran assisted living home in Orange County and/or personally meet the military families we have assisted and hear their testimonials first hand. As a newly established and registered 510 (c) 3 charitable organization, regulated by state and federal laws, we are fully compliant and are committed to ending veteran homelessness and substance abuse in our community. Sincerely and Gob Bless our Veterans! Indigo Allendorf, Trustee
