ON OCTOBER 29,2008 AT 12:09 P.M. I WAS CONTACTED BY THESE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED NATIONAL LEGAL DEPARTMENT, WHICH THEY CALLED FROM THE 312-962-5282 NUMBER IN CHICAGO ILL.THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD GOT A PAYDAY LOAN FROM A CASH ADVANCE PLACE THIS YEAR. WHICH I KNOW I DIDNT GET A PAYDAY LOAN, WHAT TRIGGER THE THOUGHT THAT THEY WAS REAL, THEY KNEW MY LAST FOUR DIGITS OF MY SOCIAL, MY BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER AND MY E-MAIL ADDRESS.

I WANTED TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THESE PEOPLE, I STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS HE TOLD ME THAT HIS NAME WAS STEVE JOHNSON HE HAD A INDIAN ACCENT AND WAS TALKING BAD LIKE IF I DIDNT PAY THE MONEY BY TOMMORROW MORNING AT 11AM THAT THEY WAS GOING TO FILE COURT PAPERS ON ME AND THAT I WAS GOING TO BE PICKED UP BY THE POLICE. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT I HAD GOT A $300 LOAN AND THAT I OWED THEM $5000.00 AND I NEEDED TO PAY THEM INSTANTLY.

SO ME BEING ME I GOT ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT THAT THESE PEOPLE IS A FRAUD, TRYING TO GET YOUR INFORMATION AND GET MONEY OVER THE PHONE. THE STEVE JOHNSON ALSO GAVE ME A NUMBER WHICH IS 813-283-4343 TO CALL HIM BACK ON AND AT EX.1084. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE PUT TO A STOP, THEY HAVE PEOPLE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND I DONT KNOW HOW THEY GET PEOPLE INFORMATION.

These are scammers - were profiled on ABC News - as I remember they hacked into a payday place and stole information - the so called "law enforcement agents" will have a heavy Indian accent
Blow em off - They call you again don't answer the phone

Anytime they threaten with arrest - its usually bogus.

You cannot be arrested for debt. its also against the law for them to even make threats of any kind.

They cannot just demand you pay - they are required by law to PROVE you are the correct person.

Not sure where they got the info,

I do know GEMB lost a data tape in Oct 2007 that they did not publicly report until January 08. 650,000 customer records were compromised.

They claim it was found, and not accessed. They also think their customers are stupid too

Most likely got it from some outsourced callcenter for a US company
