I had ordered a scale model from a reputable company online. It was out of stock and when I finally got notice that it was going to be shipped, I quickly notified the shipper that my address had changed since my order was placed (over 6 months). They contacted UPS, as the shipper, and requested that the package be delivered to a new address. This is also documented online in the tracking page. However, when the package never arrived, I contacted the shipper again to let them know. They called UPS who said they would ATTEMPT to retrieve it from where they delivered it (my prior address) and redeliver it to my new address. This was supposed to take 1 business day. It has been over a week and I've received nothing. I even went back to my old address (the home is vacant) and found nothing. So someone out there is probably enjoying something I paid for.

This isn't the first time this has happened. Last year, I ordered $700 worth of tools from Sears. When it never arrived, I called Sears who called UPS and not one of them could find the package. Even the driver who scanned the package couldn't remember what happened to it. Fortunately, I got my money refunded on that one. But the simple fact that UPS can't manage to maintain their standards makes me want to never use their service. If I have an option, I use FEDEX or DHL. They've never lost anything of mine.
