UNITED PARCEL SERVICE ripoff, UNABLE TO DELIVER NEXT DAY, BUT STILL WANT TO CHARGE LOUISVILLE Kentucky
THE COMPANY I WORK FOR ORDERED SOME PLOWS FOR NEXT DAY AIR. WE HAD A STORM AND UPS COULD NOT DELIVER. I RECIEVED THE PRODUCT SIX DAYS LATER. I CONTACTED THE DISTRIBUTOR OF THE PLOWS TO GET MY FREIGHT ADJUSTED AND WAS TOLD UPS WOULD NOT ADJUST THE CHARGES BECAUSE THE WEATHER CAUSED THE PROBLEM. HOW CAN I CHARGE MY CUSTOMERS FOR NEXT DAY WHEN THE PRODUCT CAME SIX DAYS LATE. WHEN I CAN'T PROVIDE THE SERVICE I HAVE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. SO FAR UPS SAYS THE CHARGE STANDS. COULD SOMEONE IN THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE CALL ME. YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES STATE THE CHARGE IS UNFAIR AND THE CUSTOMER IS COMES FIRST. SHOW ME.

First off, you should no that your area has been pounded with severe weather during this time. If you would have looked under UPS' Terms and Condidions @ UPS.com you would see:
"Interruption of Service
UPS shall not be liable for any interruption of service due to causes beyond its control, including, but not limited to, the following: the unavailability or refusal of a person to accept delivery of the shipment; acts of God; acts of public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority; acts or omissions of customs or similar authorities; insufficient information provided by a customer; Hazardous Materials packages improperly offered for transport; the application of security regulations imposed by the government, or otherwise applicable to the shipment; riots, strikes or other labor disputes; civil unrest; disruptions in air or ground transportation networks and natural disasters."
All shipping companies including the U.S. Postal service were affected by Act of God (weather) and were not issuing guarantee refunds. Louisville (UPS Airhub) got hit with a severe winter storm that left 2.4 million packages stranded over Christmas. Fed Ex was faced with a similar situation. This is not the fault of UPS.
