UNITED PARCEL SERVICE UPS is Unreliable for shipping. salisbury, Maryland
On February 9, 2010 I order something from New York City - it was shipped UPS. Now we had a blizzard; however, two days in a row, UPS had this item on their truck and have both days failed to deliver it. When I called the 800 number (customer service - if that is what you can call it) they continue to "promise" that the package will be delivered tomorrow. Have contacted the vendor for a full refund for this shipment.
Do not ship with UPS - pay the extra and get either Fedex or even the USPS to bring your things to you. UPS is absolutely useless and they really do not care about Customer Service whatsoever.
So sad. They used to be reliable. Now, they're just plain out wrong!

Well, I was supposed to get a shipment from another company last week. They (UPS) showed the package as being delivered to the garage even though they always leave packages on the porch in front. The package was no where to be found. Had to call the vendor back and had it reshipped. This time with "Put on Front Porch" written in big letters (red) across the top of the box. Finally got shipment but the Salisbury, MD UPS Distribution Center is still worthless. Seems bright sunny days also put a hitch in their stride - not just snow anymore.
