My pc was shipped from Alabama to Florida by a licensed shipper according to UPS specifications. I received it with a damaged motherboard as the box had apparently been dropped and internal parts had been jolted out of their locations. I filed my report to be compensated by the shipping insurance I had purchased.

UPS ignored my claim at first. Then, when a UPS rep finally called me and took my report over the phone, she filed erroneous statements with the insurance carrier, completing mistating everything I told her.

This situation was repeated a second time when another rep called me saying the first claim had been denied. It took UPS 5 months to send someone out to my house to inspect the shipping container and my computer. The inspector said I had everything required for shipping, then the claim was denied, again, stating that the shipping container was NOT to specifications.

I got nothing but doubletalk, delays, and a damaged computer from UPS for the price of a new computer plus extra insurance coverage for shipping.

I am boycotting UPS for now on, through my work office, my husband's home office, and my own personal shipping. There are too many other choices out there, such as USPS and Airborne, to have to support a company that does not stand behind its service and insurance contracts. Thank you for reading. Down with Brown!
