United PC Publishers I have signed a contract with United PC Publishers because I fell for the Website and they kept messing me about and also didn't support me whatsover and I had paid for additanal services now they saying they don't want to print page for page out and been told that they won't do my book but when I asked them to termate my contract and get my money back they said that they can't Austria
I want to complain about United Pc Publishers as I had fallen for a scam because when i was looking for a publisher and found that one i thought it was the best so i signed the contract then found out it wasn't free after all but i just thought i use this service and payed between 6-7hundrand pounds but they kept asking me to pay more until now as they are no longer wanting to publish my book and wanted to termate my contract. Here is a copy of the email that they had sent me
Dear Mrs Webster,
it’s a pity to read that you are willing to cancel our contract!
I am sorry but an unilateral cancellation of the publishing contract is not possible. You signed a valid publishing contract, we have already spent time and finances on your project (ISBN, author support: e-mails) but will never gain back the money through book sales, if you cancel the contract.
A cancellation of the publishing contract is only possible by mutual consent in writing and against costs (see item 7: “Should one of the parties to the Contract request an early termination of the Contract, then this may only be done by mutual consent in writing. On request of the Author the Contract can be cancelled prior to the book release against payment of a cancellation fee – for the accrued expenses/expenditure of work – of Euro 95,00 excl. VAT.”). We will charge Euro 95,00 excl. VAT for our administrative efforts so far.
Furthermore, a refund of the already paid invoices is not possible (please have a look at the cancellation conditions on the bottom of the invoice).
I also have to inform you, that Sandra and I tried to save you some costs. Therefore, we asked you to print and submit your alterations by post, but you send us a cd. Upon receipt, I had a talk with a colleague of mine. She told me, that we could only use the cd, if you make use of the additional service “individual page design”, because she would have had to design your full manuscript page by page.
Please tell me how you would like to proceed. The rights towards your book are with the publisher until you decide for or against publishing by united p.c.

Please can I termate my contract with you and also have a refund because I am now going to send my maniscript to another publishers as I have been messed around and had no support etc and I think it's appalling and a disgrace that I have paid a lot of money to you and the service wasn't excellent and with sad regret that I highley recommend someone to you.
