I was not ripped-off because I checked before I did anything and found all these rip-off reports on this company. I wanted to let people know about several key things to look for when you get this sort of offer.

This "company" has apparently stepped up its game with a new offer since the other reports were filed - now they tell you you can earn $550 - $3,500/week for mailing their "catalogs" for them. Of course, you are asked to pay them a registration fee that is apparently refundable, according to how much you want to make.

$55 gets you 55 catalogs and a $550 paycheck if you mail them all. $75 gets you 75 catalogs and a $750 paycheck if you mail them all. $110 gets you 110 catalogs and $1,100 paycheck, and for a "special" price of $159, you can get 350 catalogs and a $3,500 paycheck, just like "most" of their mailers.

Several things to note which should be a tip-off for any scam: the registration form you are asked to fill out does not ask for a SSN. So, even if they were actually paying people up to $14,000/month, they are not reporting any of this to the IRS... ? Hmmmmm. Why not?

No mention of what the "loose pages catalogs" that need folding are for.

They say they supply the mailing labels - but they also say that they'll pay you when "they" get the catalogs you mail. What???? So, you're mailing the catalogs back to them??? what's that all about?

They have a phone number, which if you call, will only give you a pre-recorded message that says the same thing the mailer says. There is no way to speak to a person.

The letter is signed "president, United Sales and Book Publishing" but there's no name.

These are all things that you can look for in any offer you get. A legitimate business is going to report your earnings to the IRS, even you are an independent contractor. You should be able to speak to a person. Somebody should be willing to put their name to the offer. And the offer needs to make sense. Does it make any sense at all that somebody would pay $10 just for mailing 1 catalog? No. And why would you be mailing the catalogs back to the people paying you??? This is a bad bunch and it sounds like they've already had trouble in another state.

Since this offer came to me through the US Mail, I believe this may constitute mail fraud, and since they are suggesting the use of the mail as their "offer", that is trouble too. Isn't this a Federal offence?? Who should I report this to?
