Complaint Review: United States Law Enforcement Department

United States Law Enforcement Department Threatening to arrest me for a defaulted payday loan of a family member I didn't co-sign for. Hackensack New Jersey

This company keeps calling me from various states and phone numbers so I assume they are out of India due to the typical accent. They refuse to give me any info about thier company aside from the name "United States Law Enforcement Department" which I verified with local police does not exist.

They first contacted my cousin and she almost fell for it. Rushed out of work to the Western Union and it wasn't until she was instructed to complete the Western Union form which is used to send money to a person not a business that she was suspicious. She called me and asked my advice.

I told her it had to be a scam because a real company would use the correct form for payment of a bill that is owed. They subsequently contacted everyone she listed as a reference and tried to get us to pay the amount.

I refused of course and since December I am the only one with the same phone number and they continue to call me. Today was the last straw for me. I of course told them that I know they are a scam and whatever country they are calling from is sadly mistaken if they think they can hold a reference liable for an uncollected debt and that if they don't stop calling me that I would file a harrassment complaint against them.

They transfered me to the "chief officer" who then threatened to have me arrested immediately. I said bring it on... He asked me to remain on the line while they trace my call and of course I said sure... how long would you like me to hold...lol

He then told me that the call was recorded and that my statements would be used against me in court to which I said ok, then send me the court summons and I will gladly go to court against you idiots.

I got the fake badge number as well as his fake "American name" and contacted my local police. I then contacted the FBI, and will be filing a complaint against them.

Has anyone else dealt with these assholes? I'm hoping to get a class action suite going against these people. I can't imagine how many innocent people have fallen for this scam!

If they call again tell these losers you know it is a SCAM and be done with it
You cannot be arrested for a "debt"
ABC News did a spot on the scammers - they hacked into multiple payday loan websites and stole information
As we say in the South - tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine!
