Complaint Review: United States Military VA

United States Military VA Defamation of Character, Psychological warfare on citizens ripoff Jax Arkansas

  • Reported By:

I am a retired soldier discharged from military. I was discharged from Ft. Knox for delusional disorder. I get home, people are trying to make it seem as if it was for homosexuality. They are using surveilance and psychological warfare and leaking information. I am being discriminated against in the town where I live, and don't see any possible future whatsoever. Where I live is an Air Base community and the whole town is helping with the shunning.

What are my rights if any? I maybe paranoid, but I am not gay, and I would still be in the military if it wasn't for certain circumstances. I am being discriminated for jobs, as a result and I would like to have my self repect and dignity back.

I have been threatened with injury, death, trumped charges, but I don't care. I'm tired of people with power misusing it, and trying to destroy me and my family. I was good at my job, if you look at my service it was outstanding and was without prejudice, so why do I have to face prejudice on the outside.

I'm not used to being a bum. Is it lawful for a community a whole to use psychological warfare against ex-soldiers?

Unknown,

First let me say that I am totally familiar with Jacksonville AR / LRAFB and Fort Knox KY. I was stationed at each as I served in both the USAR and the USAF.

You say you are "retired" then you say you were "discharged" for a "delusional disorder".

Which is it? Retired [20 years+ service] or discharged? What was your total time in service and rank?

Fort Knox is primarily an IET post. This means it is a basic training location for new recruits and returning prior service.

I have seen your situation and have seen it at Ft Knox, as I was in Med Hold there for my physical therapy [PTRP] and evaluation, and finally for my medical discharge for injuries sustained.

I have 10+ years active duty as well as Nat'l guard time. I am not retired. I am a 30% disabled veteran.

Based on my experience, you could not make it through basic training and were discharged.

It sounds as if you are paranoid, and should seek mental health treatment at the VA.

Why would anyone assume you are gay/ This would never be on your DD-214 and your medical files are confidential.

FYI..Being discharged for being GAY is a GENERAL discharge under the category of FAILURE TO ADAPT if identified in an IET environment.

There is much more to this story.

I am sorry to read about your situation

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. I was responding to suggest that you look closely at the people who are reporting these rumors back to you. As mean as people can be to each other, I highly doubt that people are shouting comments to you out of the window as they pass by. This leads me to believe that someone that you know and trust is repeating this rumors to you. Be sure that you understand their motivation for repeating those hurtful things.

If those people come to you and share more bad news, (for example 'I saw candy and she told me that she heard that you are gay') ask the 'friend' what was his or her reply to that statement. A good friend can go a long way in stopping slowing down those rumors in your abscence. THis is also a wonderful time to see who your real friends really are. Assuming that you have done that, this might be a great time to consider a relocation.

I know that this sounds overly simplistic but is there any chance that you could try your luck in a new town with a close relative? I am not sure how long ago your discharge took place but I would be almost certain that you would qualify for unemployement benefits. Although that is a small amount of money for a limited amount of time, it might be helpful if you were to use it to rent a place about an hours drive or so away if the family situation is not an option. Since you were in the military (discharged or not) you obviously accquired some skills with one of them being the ability to adapt to new surroundings quickly and the ability to interact with various diverse groups of people. These are skills that any employer would be glad to have. If/when you go to the unemployement office, try to talk specifically to the VETERANS affairs liasion. He or she could probably be a major help in constructing your resume in a way that will accent the wonderful skills that you learned while in the military.
I hope that this helps...

You say you were discharged from fort knox. Outside of Radcliff in elizabeth town or even further to Louisville, there would be plenty of opportunities to obtain employement and make new friendships yet you would still be close enough to 'home' if you needed to return.
I know running from your problems is probably not the most helpful answer but it might assist you on your road to recovery if you were to place some distance between those that keep rumors spreading. I will pray for a peaceful resolution to your situation.
