May 11, 2009 I approached my mail carrier with 2 packages in hand, asking to follow him to the truck to set the packages inside. He said, no and why dont I just leave the packages on the grass next to his truck. I asked him why would I do such a thing, as anyone could walk up and take them. I told him that this is how my usual carrier does it, in fact she offers to carry them but I do it instead, she has enough to do. Again, I asked to wait by his truck with my 2 packages and he said no and proceeded to try and persuade me to just leave them unattended by his truck. I asked if he wanted them to be stolen and he didnt answer. I then asked how I could get my packages picked up and he said to leave them by my mailbox and he would come back after he got done delivering the next apartment building. I left them there, then waited patiently for him to return.

10 minutes later he came to my bldg and took my 2 packages. Each package was about 18 x 10 x 10, one to Indiana, the other to NoCarolina. I checked tracking status that night and only Indiana got scanned.

After a week I called and was told, that somehow in 2.7 miles my package to No.Carolina had disappeared; they have offered me no explantion, no compensation, nothing. In fact one supervisor, Mike, laughed at me and said shouldve had it insured. Its been 14 days and no one can help, Mark at the main said he looked for the package, but he never knew THE names on the packages, nor the size as he never asked!! SO HOW COULD HE LOOK??? How could he know what he was looking for?? Its so disappointing!!

Do not ever use the USPS to send anything of value...

They lose half the things I send. They've fully discredited themselves. Use FedEx.
