It was an afternoon, a girl, looked like she was in college, came up to my door and said that she was trying to win a trip to some foreign country. I ordered one magazine from her, wrote a check and she handed me those carbon copy with my info, what magazine I subscribed, points she'll receive and how I can contact the company.

Well was about 2 months when I noticed that I didn't receive my magazine, but my husband, who ordered from another company started to receive his magazine.

I started to call the company, which had a recording that said they would transfer my call to customer services. I waited and waited and waited. I left my contact info and never got a call back.

I wrote to the company telling them I wanted my money back, no letter/no phone call.

I went thru the Better Business Bureau to see if they could help, Nothing! They said the company didn't respond to their letters and that was it.

I should have done what I do to people who call to offer services/products, tell them NO and close the door. But now I'm out $30...
