This company promises to help you keep your home; by getting your mortgage restructured. They are preying on people during these tough economic times.

They contacted me a year ago. At the time, I was not behind on my mortgage payment; but it was hard to make those payments; so I listened to them. They assured me that they could get my mortgage restructured, and payments cut in half.

Since I had just made the payment to the bank, they asked me to void that check. Told me that I needed to be three or four months behind in order to get the banks attention. Of course, their fee was equal to my mortgage, so I needed to send the money to them.

They then dragged it out for a year! I kept calling telling them that I did not wish to get too far behind, etc. I finally contacted the bank on my own. The bank officer was very glad to hear from me directly; as he told me that these people have no idea of what they are doing, and are merely taking advantage of people in a bad situation. A couple of phone calls, and faxes later; I had my mortgage restructured on my own, and managed to keep my home.

United Trust Financial Group guaranteed results. So I called them and spoke with Shawn Michael; their chief officer, and the man I originally was contacted by. He refused to return my money.

I would advise anyone who is in foreclosure and about to loose their home , to contact the lender directly; and have nothing to do with these con artists who are taking advantage of the current mortgage crisis. UTFG is chief among these scammers. They have no Real professionals, their case managers are students, and you get a new case worker ever month or two. Nothing gets accomplished, as a new person is always "supposedly" working on your case. When things go bad, their guarantee is worthless, and you are out the money you paid them, plus now really far behind on your mortgage. They dig you a hole, and bury you! Beware.
