I received a missed call with a voicemail stating they had received complaints on me in their office today and that I had to callback before legal action was taken. The lady also called my mother stating the same thing. Five mintues later from the missed call, she called back. I talked to her and she stated to call this number and give them a case number.

I contacted the number and spoke with a guy. He claims they are a "locator" company and also processing for bad debt. This is reguarding an old payday loan. From the reading of other people, it is a scam.

Scam??

You CANNOT look online and take ANY information presented to you and call it a scam. Heres why. The American Consumer THINKS that the rules of the world DO NOT APPLY TO THEM!!! This means that when they are made to pay something like a bad debt, they ALWAYS say its a scam. WHY?? Because the American Consumer refuses to take responsibility for their actions. Its MUCH easier to hop online and bash the opposing party. With NO PROOF of their accusations other then what they present. The American COnsumer has NO PROBLEM lying cheating or scamming in order to not have to PAY!! This means that EVERY report online MUST be examined on its OWN MERITS.

Now before you blow this off make sure that YOU dont owe money first. DID you take out a payday loan and NOT pay it back?? If so, then you have to give SOME credibility to their request. IF you DO owe a payday loan company, then you need to clear this up as soon as you can or they will continue to call. If not then it probably is a scam. If they are attempting to collect on a loan they MUST provide PROOF that YOU took the loan out. If they refuse to provide proof then odds are it is a scam. But IF you owe money do not discount or blow off the situation. The more hands your loan goes through the more the loan has added onto what you have to pay.
